SGT John D Morgan, Vietnam Veteran, native of North Carolina, he later became a resident of New Jersey.
Sergeant John D Morgan was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SGT Morgan served our country until June 30th, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 36 years old and was married. It was reported that John died from multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered. John was born on October 8th, 1929 in Dunn, NC. SGT Morgan is on panel 08E, line 112 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 16 years.

He was awarded The Distinguished Service Medal, The Purple Heart Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster for his combat related wounds, The Korean Service Medal, The Korean Defense Medal, The United Nations Service Medal, The American Expeditionary Medal, The Army of Occupation Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal(s) and The Good Conduct Medal(s).
